I’m wondering what the solution, if any, I might find in the text generator of Final Cut Pro that would enable me to create a title along the lines of the embedded image below which has two fonts:

(The graphic linked above I’m recreating.)

I don’t find but the very basic explanation in the documentation, and I’m on FCP HD, or Version 5.

I understand I need an asterisk to separate the names, but how do I have one side of the text to be one font, while the other side is that of another font?

It’s most likely right in front of my face and I’ve failed to understand a very basic element.

this is why many of us use Photoshop to compose titles and credits.

I approach a project like this by composing two separate text objects, one justified left and one justified right. I place them into a sequence side by side and then nest the sequence. You move the nested sequence not the text objects.

Or you can build two custom-sized sequences that are much taller than a normal video clip. Place two text objects side by side.

There are other ways but if your text is vital, use an image editor.
