Sorry if this is a known bug, but I did search the best I could…here is the problem:

    1. Added a ‘Title 3D’ CG to a clip.
    2. The clip below the CG ‘jumps’ (misses a frame or two) during playback at the CG edit point.
    3. Rendering FULL does not fix this.
    4. Emptying cache and render files does not fix this.
    5. And this happens with EVERY video clip that I add a CG on top of.

I’m editing DVCPROHD 720p footage that was shot at 60fps and converted to 23.98 for editing.

Help! My only work around so far has been to media manage the entire SEQ with NO handles and add CG’s to the new timeline.

    What gives?

    Hi Kevin-

Did you get any answers/solutions regarding this problem?

I’ve just come across this while editing on a client’s machine.

    Thanks!

Thanks for asking… Basically the problem has gone away a while back. Now, I’m not sure if that was due to upgrading Final Cut, or using Prores instead of DVCPRO, or updating AJA Kona drivers. But as least it went away….for now.

    Bo,

Maybe try trashing the title 3d prefs.

The preference file isnamed “com.borisfx.Title 3D”.

It is located at: Macintosh HD :: Users :: :: Library :: Preferences

    Matthew & Kevin –

Thanks so much for the responses!

Unfortunately trashing the preferences didn’t do it…

One thing is that these title clips were copied and pasted from another sequence. Not sure if that would cause it somehow, since I’ve done that in the past and it hasn’t been a problem.

I may do a new post in the main section and see if anyone has answers.

    Thanks!
