    Hi,

I’m comfortable with Premiere Pro 2..and find it really easy to add transtions and video effects and keyframe them over time etc…

However I’ve seen that After Effects includes many more preset effects and I would like to utilise them..but I find it very difficlt to get my head around the way AE works…(somewhat daunted by the quantity of keyframes that seem to strech for kilometers down the window!)

Is there any way to utilise the AE preset transtions inside Premiere?

Alternatively can anyone point me to a link that describes how you do a transition in After Effects the way I can in Premiere?

I simply want clip one to transition into Clip 2 but I can’t seem to just drag the transition between the clips the way I can in Premiere.

Is the secret ‘adjustment layers’ or is there some other area to look. Thanks!

Thanks Richard…yes I can see that is the way to go…I’ve just so far found the program quite a challenge compared to Premiere Pro…but I guess it’s all about learning and gaining experience in order to feel ‘comforatble’ in it.

    Thanks!

    Be sure to BALANCE learning

Read After Effects Apprentice from the Myers

Balamce with some tutorials at the Cow.

    try some DVD for variety…

    Take a class

BTW…. if you are bad in Photoshop,… learn that first.. ESSENTIAL…

Take a look at my blog.
