  • Tips on How to Model a Safety Harness?

Posted by James Kozick on December 30, 2013 at 10:31 pm

I’m about to begin my first modeling project in C4D. It’s to create a safety harness. It will be worn by a variety of 3D people in work settings in a C4D movie.

The harness needs to be flexible enough to be worn by people of different sizes moving about.

Any suggestions on steps, tips, in modeling this safety harness?

It really depends on how the harness fits the models, but since they’ll each have a front and back, I would use those two surfaces as your base and make the connections / wraps between them flexible. Perhaps using a bend deformer on the straps will give you the flexibility you need.
