  • TIPS for Gamut warning and Print

    Hey all,

Im working on making a poster sized print of an all digital image (so the colors are pretty vibrant).
I rarely do prints so Im looking for any tips on how to get the best color for print after converting to cmyk.

On my particular image, I enabled the gamut warning view and most of my image went grey. I tried converting it to cmyk and using color balance to breathe more of the original colors back in but it seems to be working against me and wrecking the image.

    Any tips?

    Hi Aaron,

I’m not very familiar with correcting out-of-gamut problems but there’s a good web page that I think would help you quite a bit (link below). Be sure to read their out-of-gamut color page as well. Hope it’s helpful.

    Here’s the link.
