    omg…once again, I over-complicate things…simply use time as a timeremap

    x= effect(“Slider Control”)(“Slider”); // turns 50% into timestretch 50%
    x=x/25;
    time*x;

    You could do it with time remapping, but it’s one of those situations where trying to change speed can really mess you up. You could use a slider control as the speed control, and if you use linear keyframes you could integrate the slider value to convert speed to elapsed time, which is what the time remapping expression needs. There should be some linear keyframe integration examples around here somewhere (maybe not for time remapping specifically, but the concept would be the same).

    Hey guys, I need to do exactly this but cannot figure it out.

    I’d like to link a slider control to the amount of time stretch on a comp.

    I.e. When I increase the slider control, it increases the time stretch on the comp.

    Side note: I also need to keep the loopOut(type =”cycle”) expression I have on the comp.

    Many thanks,
    H
