i currently have a time lapse that i have in my editing program (sony vegas 9 pro)

i want to add a time stamp that simulates an actual clock so i can achieve the effect that the footage started at 8:00 am and ended at 1159:pm

is there anyway i can pull this off in sony vegas? or maybe even After effects

have you tried using the built in timestamp
    in the video effects tab?

yeah but it doesn’t achieve the effect of a digital clock. It just uses frames and seconds from the actual clip/timeline.

i ended up looking a bit harder and found a plug in for after effects that did the trick, but it was a lot more difficult than it could have been so it would be nice to see if its possible in vegas.
