Timestamp removal
Hi all,
I recently did some filming with a Sony Z1 and wanted the timecode to switch to time of day.
Annoyingly, it actually burned the date onto the actual footage which was soul-destroying after 3 hours of footage. I couldn’t believe that a professional camera would do that without any on screen indication that it is selected, but that’s another story.
Ultimately, I need to try to remove these numbers from the footage – do any of you know how to do it?
I found this on You Tube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a-s_L4ZxzXw but I think this is for PC based editing software. Is there any way I can sort this in Final Cut? Really hope someone out there can help.

Scale the video up and crop it.
**Hindsight is always 1080p**

OR…
Copy and paste.
Double up your layer and crop a small section right above the time stamp.
Feather selection and move it over the time stamp on the bottom layer.
May need to blur some as well.Chris Tompkins
