Timeline settings for Kodak zi8
The explorer seems to show that the zI8 is shooting (at the settings I used) 1920x1080x24, 29.970fps interlaced (?!), H.264 format.
There does not appear to be a comparable “hd” setting for this, since it’s interlaced, do I then use HDV 720 30? Or?
It appears that throwing it onto the timeline setup as HD 1080-24p ends up working fine after rendering it out in WMV 720 30p.
If so, did it automatically deinterlace, or is this a bogus reading by the explorer window? I couldn’t rightly tell what is correct because the video appears very jerky in the preview window and trimmer. Is Vegas really not able to keep up with that? Is the Kodak shooting interlaced? My machine seems more than capable enough to handle it but is having problems with the preview.
