    Hey guys
Shot a movie with a Canon 7d and I am getting ready to edit. I want to make sure I am setting up my timeline settings correctly. I see there is a 1080i but there is also a 16×9 1080 and I believe even one more 1080 option? It was all shot in 24p 1920×1080 so what should I use (well I say it was all shot, some of it was shot at 60p and then slowed down in cinema tools to 24p)

If memory serves the Canon DSLRs that shoot video are all using the H.264 codec. This codec is actually a delivery codec and not for editing. I recommend that you convert your footage to ProRes. If you shot progressive (I think that’s what the Canons shoot, yes?) then transcode to ProRes 1080p 24fps and then drop everything into a sequence with the same settings.
