    Hi,

I am using FCP6 and have a quick question about some of the settings which I cannot work out how to change.
Currently, whenever I delete a clip from the timeline, all the tips after it move backwards to the place where the clip was. How do I turn this off so when I delete a clip from the timeline it does not effect the other clips around it?

    Cheers,

    Matt

There are TWO ways to delete a clip…you found one. the DELETE key that is above the arrows does what you describe. However, if you use the delete key that is on the main part of the keyboard, the one above the RETURN key, you will see that it deletes the clip, but leaves a hole.
