Timeline Playback Stopping?
Has anyone experienced playback control via the spacebar or the menu stopping? I’m editing and suddenly all playback function is gone. I’m not doing anything unusual…. in order to get playback functionally back I have to re-boot.
Using a 2008 Mac Pro with OS 10.3, esata Raid 0 drives ….. FCP-X has been updated

mmmhh. Not sure your OS (10.3 ?) supports FCPX… so I would start with this…

Thanks for responding…. I made a typo, the OS is up to date with 10.8.3. The other odd thing that will happen sometimes is that playback will work, but the cursor won’t have any affect on the timeline. Fortunately it doesn’t happen often, but wondering if this is a computer issue on my end or a possible bug in the software?

Once in a while this’ll happen with my system. If I click and play a clip in an event the timeline then works normally, no rebooting. Hope this helps.

I’ve noticed that the spacebar some times stops responding, but jkl still works.
