Timeline not responding.
When I open premiere it will work for maybe a minute. Then the timeline wont respond when I hit play. Neither the space bar or the shuttle will make it play. I can scrub through the timeline and even make edits, but nothing plays. Here are the things I have done to try and fix it:
Updated system software (macOS monterey)
restarted computer
uninstalled and reinstalled premiere
trashed preferences and cache
resized windows
tried different workspaces
Nothing seems to fix it. I was also having trouble yesterday with After Effects not wanting to RAM preview more than a couple of frames without having to do a restart. Unclear if it’s related, but between the two, I have had two very unproductive and frustrating days. Please help.
System:
3.7 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon E5
32 GB 1866 MHz DDR3
AMD FirePro D500 3 GB
