Even though I think Premiere CC is a great program and have enjoyed a smooth learning curve, I find that months into using it I am not getting that much better with the fundamentals of timeline navigation. I’m a short-form editor and wish that the zoom in (time scale display expand/contract) only applied to the timeline* Instead as I use the play etc buttons under the program (seq) monitor, I then use the plus & minus commands only to find that I am manipulating the zoom slider under the play etc buttons. This time scaling feature for the time increments under the pgm monitor would really be gold doing long-form but countless times during the day I do this inadvertently then have to select or reselect the TL window, because *that* is where I want to expand/contract the display.

If anyone knows of advanced timeline navigation tips or a tutorial I’m all ears.

    Thanks,

    Paul
