i work at a tv station with 6 macs and we use the production premium CS3 suite constantly. i have leopard ready to install, but i’m not about to pull the trigger until adobe gives the green light. we rely on them too much.

i know adobe said december 2007 for the update for the CS3 suite, but we’re nearing the end of december and i’d really like to clean install our systems with leopard. has anyone heard anything more specific as to when we can expect updates from adobe?

    thanks

    thanks dave,

that and the thread you gave me are very helpful. i’m not concerned with final cut…we don’t use it. we aren’t an editing department, more of an art department. we do have final cut 5. i may or may not install it. if i do, it’s no biggie if it doesn’t work.

i’m on vacation for the holidays so if when i come back we still haven’t heard from adobe, i’m just going to install leopard and deal with the outcome.

    thanks again for your help.

Just FYI, I had tried to do a fresh install of Leopard a month or two ago, and found out the hard way they do not have a stand alone installer for XSan. You have to install on 10.4.x and upgrade your OS, then update the XAdmin. Just in case….

I’d imagine we’ll see Adobe put out CS3 – Leopard in January along with the release of 10.5.2…

but really, I haven’t seen anything in Leopard on my home computer that was a must have for my workstations. I’ll be patient.

AE product manager Michael Coleman just announced that AE 8.02 (which will bring full Leopard compatibility, native P2 support and bug fixes) will be released in mid-january. It was originally expected for these days, but they decided to postpone it a couple of week for the sake of quality.

    Adolfo,

Will this release fix the bugs in the new Motion Blur code along with the constant battle of gamma issues?
