timeline corruption
Have any of you added a clip to the timeline with an insert edit (pushing the whole timeline down) – then replaying your new edit and seeing the old clip play where the new clip should be….anyone? Does this sound like a corrupted file?

Yep. Quit and restart. If that doesn’t do it, highlight the clip and press CNTRL-B, CNTRL-B (deselects and then selects the clip again, often forcing a re-render if needed)…and if both don’t work, trash your preferences with FCP Rescue.
