    Hi guys!

I absolutely love video editing, and feel I’m confident with Sony Vegas fundamentals. One element I’m confused on is its timelapse ability. I know it’s possible to create a timelapse, but I have no idea how.

What is the best way to edit a timelapse on SV Pro 12? I’ve already shot hundreds of photos in order (I’ve done timelapses before on GoPro Studio), I just need to edit it. I like the idea of doing it on SV because I have much more ability to edit and tune the project.

I appreciate any advice! It goes a long way.

    Thank you!!

    Joey

If you have a sequence of still images then you should name them so that they end with a number in a sequence (most cameras already do this, e.g., IMG001, IMG002, etc.). Then in Vegas Pro go to File | Import | Media and select the first image and check the box that says something like “import image sequence” and Vegas Pro will make a movie clip from the images. When you press OK it will ask for the frame rate to use. This should give you the time-lapse that you want.
