timecode on 2nd audio channel
Hoping someone can help with a problem. We’re editing using FCP 6.05 on a 2×2.8 GHz Intel box with 8 GB of Ram.
We’ve been asked to provide masters of our shows to be close captioned. We spent a couple of weeks getting bad information as to exactly what the close caption company wanted. Various people told us that we needed to put burned in timecode, and we (thanks to a link from someone here) did just that.
Now they’ve told us that it’s not timecode on a VIDEO channel they need, but timecode on a second audio channel. So basically, I’ll have to pan all the show audio to audio channel 1, and put timecode on channel 2.
Problem being of course, that I have no idea how to do that. I googled, and read some stuff that was way over my head technically. Can anyone walk me through how to do this?
We’re going out to a JVC BR HD50 deck, and via that to a Sony UVW-1800 Beta deck.
Any dumbed down help would be MUCH appreciated!
