timecode not accurate on caputure now
Blackmagic Decklink HD extreme running on a quad core intel mac with latest version of FCP.
Trying to capture HD 720p 59.94 footage to prores proxy.
Usually we do a “capture now” to the whole tape and log afterwards. but suddenly when we do that the timecode has not been captured accurately. It is off by up to a couple of seconds (making for a nightmare of an online). When we set and in and an out and “capture clip” the TC is captured accurately.
Anyone know what that might be? It always worked before…

Sync cable was bad. No sync was getting to Decklink. New cable fixed it.
