Is there a way to display the original clip timecode in After Effects CS3? I’ve only been able to adjust the “timecode” filter in the “text effects” to display a number close enough to the start time of a clip (00;03;40;10 compared to 03;43;40;10 in the original clip). This works, but seems awkward for a pro app. like AE. Please tell me there’s another way!!

I am unaware of this feature, but it would REALLY be nice.
I guess it depends if meta data is transfered with the files for AE to read…doubtful

What’s interesting is that the “timecode” display filter in Premiere does show the correct clip info. I’m trying to pick clips from an offline edit in Final Cut with visible timecode numbers to composite in AE. Is anyone from Adobe listening?

Has this been implemented in CS4??
