  • Timecode in a MPEG2 file

    Hi everybody.
I got a HD TIFF sequence that I have to master with SMPTE bars and a peep tone. They also want exact timecodes. that is to say, file starts at 09:59:50:00, Bars and tone until 09:59:57:00, 3 seconds black. programme starts at 10:00:00:00 etc…
My question is, how to embed this TC information in the rendered MPEG file?
I set my comp time to start at 09:59:50:00, and then laid everything out in the timelime as it should be and rendered. Then to check what the source TC is on the clip, I brought it bach intoAE and checked the “Media Start” tab in the project Window, but it starts at 00:00:00:00.
Is it even possible to do what Im trying? I can’t find any information online about it.
Any help is, as always, deeply appreciated.
    Simon
    CS6 btw…

A picture is only as good as the glass it comes through. And the person using the camera has something to do with it too.

    DISREGARD!!!!
I sorted it out. Simply check the “include XMP” box in the render settings!

    Thanks for your help, Simon.
