  • Timecode changes when sending to SoundTrack Pro

This seems strange… I’m trying to clean up some audio on a project that I shot in 720 60p. In FCP, I select the media clip and then Send To “SoundTrack Pro audio file project.” When the file is created and opened in STP, the timecode shifts. My starting TC is 01;49;11;36 (drop) but STP is reading it as 01;49;08;18 (also drop).

The created reference file as displayed in my FCP bin is the same as the original code UNTIL I save my changes in STP. After I save, the TC changes to match what STP was displaying. STP seems to be overwriting the timecode when it saves the file.

Is there a weird setting somewhere that I’m missing?

I’m using Final Cut ver 7.0.2 and SoundTrack Pro ver 3.0.1

Using XDCam EX codec. It appears that while FCP recognizes the video as 60p and creates timecode with 60fps, soundtrack pro is unable to support TC with 60 fps. Thus my problem.
