    Hi…again,
    I thought I was fine, but…
Last related post was answered but, new(ish) problem

Recap- shot multi cam with a dvx and 2-XL2s. 24p. not sure rec or free run, but continuous record for each tape.

The dvx is fine capturing, but the xl2 tapes continue to have time code breaks and therefore stopping capture. I am capturing on one of the XL2s. Trying to avoid batch capture because tc is not synced and I have 5 tapes per cam w/ multiple takes and would like to sync in fcp and then cut what I don’t need. I’ve tried multiple settings and plenty of pre-roll, but to no success. I find it odd that both xl2s would have these TC breaks and not the dvx. Not sure (because shoot was months ago) what the TC was; DF or NDF, but thought NDF. FCP shows NDF because of the : when a few sec of pre roll before capturing displays. Am I correct to assume then that the tapes are NDF?

Am I missing a setting or could both XL2s be screwy? I know you can’t actually know about the condition of cameras but any tips would help.

    Thanks,
    Grady
