I have an interesting conundrum on my hands. We just bought three GY-HD250Us to record our church services for eventual broadcast. We running through a Panasonic AH-300G switcher.

We bought SmallHD DP1 monitors to mount on each camera so the ops can keep a nice sharp focus. They’re absolutely STUNNING!

The problem is that I’m running component from the BNCs to the DP1 for video, but two of those three BNCs are dual-purpose: they’re also used for timecode in/out. I can switch those BNCs to component OR timecode, but not both.

I’m capturing the program out of the switcher directly to my Mac Pro, but I’m also ISO recording on each camera (firestore CF), just in case we really muff a switch. It would really be nice if I could keep all timecode in sync to help sync up the multicam footage in post.

So how can I drive my monitors AND keep timecode synced on all my cameras?
