We used to get updates every 18-24 months and now 9 months is “eons”. Different world for software these days.

I believe that update just takes the 4.0 firmware from beta to release. I wouldn’t be too surprised to see a Resolve update soon.

Typically Blackmagic there are quite a few extra goodies. I have the latest beta but it doesn’t include half of the 4.0 release. Changes to compressed raw aspect options, improved focus assist in the viewfinder, more guides options including 14:9.

I’ll have to go through it then. I installed the update earlier, but I haven’t had a chance to look through the new options. It’s a bit confusing because some features listed as new in the documentation were there in version 4.0b. I’m sure there are some great new features… now, if they could just get on DNxHR recording. ?
