    hello, guys.
I’ve been asked to do something in AE that I’m not sure if it is possible.
I’m working with TGA sequences in my project and I have to time stretch some of them. The problem is: instead of having the frames being “hold” twice the time they were originally (in a 200% time stretch), with a sharp transition between them, I want to give them a “fade” look, like if there was a nice, smooth transition between all the frames…
    Is that possible?
… and I must ask: was it possible to understand? hope so… 😉
    thanks!

Enable the frame blending for that layer in the timeline. If you have AE 7, use the Time Stretch Effect for even more control.

I don’t know if I’m doing something wrong… I tried both frame blending options “frame mix” and “pixel motion”, but I didn’t feel any difference at all from the original footage…

What I did was import all the TGA files as stills and create a composition from that selection, with sequence layers and a 2 frames overlap, dissolving the top layer. That gave me that look I was looking for… but I still feel that it has to be some “more automatic” way…

    thanks for the help anyway!
