Time-remapping when clips are split
I’ve been wondering how to get around this for some time. When I split a layer into two or more clips and need to re-time them separately, the time-remapping acts as though the clips are continuous and doesn’t account for their actual duration. I tried pre-comping each clip before adding time remapping, thinking that might reset it (don’t know why I thought that, because it clearly doesn’t work like that). Is there a way to get around this issue? Is the only solution to export each clip and bring it back in to re-map?
