I thought I’d got this – but obviously not, so if anyone could point out what I’m doing wrong…

I have a sequence “A” with a bunch of clips. I need to adjust the speed of the middle third. According to adobes own instructions its a good idea to nest the sequence first. I’m convinced its a good method.
So I nest all the clip into sequence “B” – which looks just like how I started. I make no changes to this.
Back in seq A I see one (nested) clip. I do my time remapping, with a few keyframes and speed changes… everything is great.

BUT the last 6 seconds of my sequence is black. The last 6 seconds of video just doesn’t show. the clip finishes at 1min17secs as it should, but the last 6 seconds (which haven’t been altered in anyway, in any sequence) has changed to black.

Any pointers please. this timeremapping is has so many quirks.

    And the answer is…

the top sequence does NOT reflect changes to nested sequences.
at least with time remapping (probably other effects as well !!!)

once you’ve fiddled with the nested, go back to the top sequence and manually trim it shorter then longer to correct to the new length.

    Bravo Adobe. Another winning idea!
