    Hi,

I searched the site to see if anyone has come across this, but it looks like no one has.

I’ve tried using Motion to slow down footage because it does a much better job than FCP, but sometimes I get artifacts because Motion tries to create new frames. I’ve tried to solve this problem by deinterlacing in Compressor first, but that didn’t work. I’ve also made sure the fields are set properly in Motion so that it knows it’s either dealing with bottom field first or progressive footage, but that hasn’t worked either.

Just a few minutes ago I came across Ben Scott’s podcast about Compressor. He briefly mentioned that you can slow down footage in Compressor, so I tried that. And that worked perfectly. Didn’t take long at all either.

I figured I’d just share it with ya’ll for future reference…incase anyone has a similar situation.
