time remap: need to know how to do it Right
This has been annoying me forever, and I couldn’t find a solution by searching. Most people just want to know what it is.
Here’s what I’m doing now so you guys can tell me what I’m missing:
I have a composition with it’s animation. It’s 30fps if that makes a difference, not 29.97
OK, animation is done, but now I need to extend it, so I hit Ctl+Alt+T to add a time remap.
It comes up with the keyframes for me. I go to the time I want to extend to and hit Alt+]
Now I have to hit ‘j’ then pageUp, insert a keyframe, and delete the last keyframe. If I skip this step it repeats a blank frame.
First my question is, why the blank frame? And then, how do I avoid this in the future?
At first, I thought maybe it was because it’s trying to repeat from After the last frame, so I extended all the content past the end of the layer, but that didn’t help. I do time-remaps a LOT, and it’s becoming a bit of a time waster for me.
