  • Time of Day in Keyword Collections and Search

I Just joined the COW but have been lurking for a long time. Anyhow, I’m getting up to speed on FCPX and really like what I see so far. My question is as follow:

I have footage for a documentary about a 3 month bicycle trip shot on a GoPro camera which short clips spread out through each day over a span of 3 months. I’m setting up my project and making keyword collections and mapping shortcut so I can work through my footage methodically. It occurred to me that I’d like to tag as many of the beautiful sunrises and sunsets on my trip as I can. I could do it manually but since every clip has a date and time created metadata I should be able to approximate within an hour or 2 all clips that were shot from say 6:30-9:00 pm each night. This would narrow my search down significantly and I could find my sunsets easily.

However, while FCPX does have a date category for keywording, I can’t get it to accept hours. Has anyone else ever run into this or tried it?

    Great to be here.
