  Time Machine NG Twice

  Came back from vacay today to find the usb external I use for time machine on my mac book pro is NG, won’t mount. Then fired up my Mac Pro after 2 weeks and the same thing. Coincidence or is there an issue with time machine and 10.9.4 which both macs were recently updated to??
