How did you put the events on the track? Do you want the events sequential on the same track or across multiple tracks?Steve Mann

July 30, 2010 at 2:07 pmit is vegas pro 9.0e , for example i wanted to make an itro where the lightning flashed across my writing i put the event on by dragging it in and then draging the lighning on a new track below it but only the top track shows unlike on videos i have seen ???

July 30, 2010 at 3:24 pmTracks are viewed from the top down, and only through transparent portions. If you want the lightning on top of your signature, then the lightning eveent is on the top track, and the signature will show through the transparent parts of the lightning. (Right clicl on the lightning event to make sure that the alpha channel is present, if not, then tre event is opaque).
You can also reduce the opacity of the upper track to let the lowr tracke show through.

July 30, 2010 at 4:39 pmok i am not quite sure what you mean and i have tried to do the things you said , maybe if i explain in more detail , the part i am going to make is an intro for a video i am making i want the text with a black background and lighning moving accros the writing, I have put the lightning on the top track and it still does not show and on videos i have seen the text is on the top track so i am quite confused. and if i move the transparency it makes it look all weird . ????

July 30, 2010 at 6:03 pmWhat is the source of the lightning event, and are you sure that it supports transparency (alpha channel)?
