I have run into a problem that I have never had before. Please help.

I want to capture Dv video with a template (NTSC FV (720×480, 29970 fps) frame rate is 29970(NTSC) all my setting are same as I have always used. I have never used anything else.

The problem is that when I capture the events they are not separated. When I bring it to the timeline it is just one event. I know that I have punched something some place to cause this. I just can’t fine it. Help would be appreciated.

    Best wishes
    And thanks
    Don

In VidCap, did you make sure that Options – Prefs – Capture – Enable DV Scene Detection was enabled?
If it was, then make sure your camcorder time is set.
If it’s an older model, there’s a chance the battery is dead and needs to be replaced.
These are the small round ones and cost less than $5.

Thanks Mike, “Enable DV Scene Detection” is enabled? I will check the battery , this will take a trip to the store. So will get back to you when I get one. This is may be troubles. It is an old camcorder.

    Thanks
    Don

The battery may be cheap but changing it may be another story. You should beable to tell if the battery is working. When you turn the camera off and turn it back on do you get a correct time display? Is it holding custom settings. If not, then the battery has brobably gone south.
