I’m shooting a time lapse shot in the afternoon. I want to go from sunlight to night with the buildings lit up. Has anyone done this before or have any advice? I’m thinking I need auto iris and manual focus on. Thats about all I know. Any help would be great.
    Thanks in advance.

That’s about it. You’re on the right track.

I actually did this back in October with a skyline shot of our city of Indianapolis. I blew out the iris to let the sky catch up to the camera and used an intravalometer in our SDX-900 set to 1 frame every 20 seconds. It was a great in-camera effect that required no time re-mapping on my part.

literally, the day after i did mine at the beach, i saw this post. i did the same thing, manual and 1 frame every 15 seconds but i came a little too late in the day and added the sun in after effects. turned out more shotty than i would have liked but it did the trick!
