Time Lapse City – Music Video

This is a music video for a band called Dashboard Confessional in which the subject moves at a normal speed while his surroundings, people, cars, etc. speed by as if in a sped up time lapse. I’m sooo curious if anyone knows how this effect was achieved. Drop me a line!

Possibly motion controlled cameras, but I’d guess they were locked off and camera movement was done in post. He’s also on a green screen for a lot of it, so they probably had extras walking back and forth across a green screen, shot in time lapse, and were added as another layer when they were in front of him. The taxi was probably just a split screen.
Definitely lots of planning.
