i like to make time lapse videos, and had a question about speeding up the video. normally, i would insert the velocity envelope and set it to 300%. then, i would “squeeze” the video down (holding ctrl while dragging the video shorter) to make it even faster. these are the only 2 methods i know of to increase the speed of the video. my question is, is there any other way to make a video clip faster? adding the velocity envelope has a limit of only 300% and you can only squeeze the video so much. sometimes i’d like to increase the speed even more than what vegas seems to allow me. the only way i know how is to render the file, then import it again and add the velocity and squeeze a second time.

    thanks for any help!

The cheap way is to save it as a veg file, nest it in a new project (add the veg file to a new timeline) and repeat the process.
The $$ way (US $79.95) is to invest in Veggie Toolkit.
Among it’s many features is something called Time Bandit which goes far beyond the 12X limit of Vegas.
