time laps
Posted by Donald Christensen on July 2, 2010 at 2:13 amI’m making a time lapsed movie. I will turn a 4 hour movie into 4 minutes
However I would like the people in the movie blurred.
One of the suggestions was to purchase an SLR camera for stills that has a setting that will take pictures every 10 seconds.
Does anyone know of a camera that does that?

July 2, 2010 at 6:18 amI think that every camera is able to do that, however, cheaper than buying an SLR is to apply some motion blur to the picture.
Have a look to the Re-Vision MB.

July 6, 2010 at 7:58 pmWhat they are getting at with a DSLR is your shutter, it should be open as long as you can have it and it will blur everyone moving in the frame. Take a look at this: https://content.photojojo.com/tutorials/ultimate-guide-to-time-lapse-photography/

The link you supplied really gave me a few things to think about.
I now have a few things on my shopping list such as an intervalometer.

July 7, 2010 at 2:30 pmHappy to help. Some cameras such as the Cannon T2i come with software so you can turn your computer into an intervalometer if you want. Best of luck.

July 7, 2010 at 10:08 pmEven better.
However, I don’t even know what to ask for.
Ill back up a bit. I heard of a camera that you can program to take pictures every 10 seconds however, I talked to a few camera buffs (professional and camera salesman in a good camera store) They didn’t know what I was talking about
Now I think my chances are better now that I know what its called.
I’ll ask for a camera with software that can plug into a laptop to act as an intervalometer

July 8, 2010 at 12:21 amThere are cameras that come with built in intervalometers but most don’t. I have an intervalometer for my T2i that cost about $40. Plus, it came with free software that can turn my laptop into an intervalometer as well. Stand alone intervalometer don’t cost that much, but they don’t make them for every camera. Hope this helps.
