Time lag
Hey everyone.
I have been working in after effects for some time now. And resently i bought a new camera. but when i edit my footage in after effects i sometimes experience that the movie reapeats the frame before the actual frame. like this:
Without timelag: 1-2-3-4-5-6
With timelag: 1-2-3-2-5-6Its impossible to edit when this happens. I would LOVE help 🙂
PS. Sorry if my english is bad. And i could post a example video if it would be helpfull.

Sounds like your footage’s field order is improperly interpreted.
Is this 1080i?
If it’s set to lower, change it to upper, or vice versa.If this doesn’t help, tell us what codec your footage uses, frame rate, etc.
By the way, why are you editing your footage in AE?
It’s a lot less painful in an NLE. -

You encode the video into another format. If you have the Adobe software suite, it comes with the Adobe Media Encoder which does an excellent job. Quicktime Pro does it too. Any editing program will do it. There are tons of other programs out there.
Quicktime format with the PNG codec would be a good way to do it. (Not a PNG sequence.)
