This might be connected to my earlier post about unexplained moving files but anyway.

Last night i was trying to export my film with quicktime conversion. i had it set to best settings on H.264 at 16:9, and planned to have it streamed online.

after selecting the settings i started it on its way, and the bar was already on 7% but stayed like that forever, while the time approx steadily increased. after two hours (watching new terminator its average btw) i came home and it had moved up to 25% but now said it was gunna take 8 hours (and was still rising)

i had already exported it once before a few days prior but forgot to de -interlace it and that only took a hour tops. The project itself is 30 mins long, this cant be normal surely? the whole time indicator rising had me a little unnerved. anyway, is there a way to tell exactly how long this should this take?

Export using QuickTime Movie and use Compressor.

It sounds as if you have something pretty fundamentally dodgy with your system. It sounds like the software and the OS haven’t been installed properly or the drives aren’t working correctly. You really need to get someone who knows what they’re doing come in and look at it.

    All the best,

    Tom
