[Marcus Moore] “Why? What issues are you having?”

I can’t speak for Jeremy, but one issue I’m having is that I routinely get to a point where I can no longer play the timeline and have to restart to fix it.

Quicktime Export error -50. Holy crap, it sucks.

I also have really strange audio issues. I will adjust audio to a level that I want. I will then stop playing or commence playing, and the level will change, literally change by more than a few dbs. The waveforms change, the keyframes change.

This is across multiple Projects, Events, media, and computers.

It makes mastering for broadcast a really really painful chore as it is woefully inadequate. All of this is happening in 10.0.8. 10.0.7 is fine.

I still get some slow downs. I wait patiently and then all of a sudden a switch is flipped and everything starts flying again.

Projects and Events take a really long time to load on the SAN, especially when you have loads of Projects for a given Event. Yes, some of us still need to use lots of Projects. Events, in particular ones with lots of synced or multi-clips, take an oddly long time to load.

There are also a multitude of editing enhancements I’d like to see, but I would like to see a really big stabilization effort before adding more features.

I forgot about this one. Whew, glad I’m not the only one, though when I had that issue, I found that setting the audio to “Flat” under “Audio Enhancements” fixed that issue for me in that particular project.

This may occur under other circumstances, but i find when working with still images… trimming them, etc., when I hit play the audio volume jumps up dramatically. Hitting stop, placing the playhead at the front again and hitting play results in the proper audio level. Very flaky.

It’s been this way through several versions of X. I mentioned it to Steve Martin at the SuperMeet and he rolled his eyes. We both thought this type of thing was embarrassing…
