  • time expression for one parameter?

    Hello all,

    I’ve applied Motion Tile to a square road texture so as to create a long endless road to nowhere. I’ve done this before; I simply keyframe the Tile Center parameter for the time I need the road running. This usually requires two keyframes of parameter number in the thousands.

    As I’ve been learning more and more about Expressions, I figure there must be a way to simplify this. Since the road is ‘up & down’ I figured I need the ‘time*’ expression but only the ‘Y’ parameter. I referred to Dan Ebbert’s MotionScript site and thought his “Wiggle One Dimension Only” could be applied in a modified form using the ‘time*’ expression. No go; at least not the way I tried it. Am I on the right path here?

    Thanks for any help…

    Try something like this for the Tile Center:

    spd = 200;
    value + [0,time*spd]

    Just picking up on this thread now, 6 years later. Thank you for this expression! Worked wonders!
