  Time & date of clip properties

  I am still using a Canon MD160 MiniDV which is OK for my needs!
  The original footage has the date & time of recording on it & although I don’t ever watch the family videos with that displayed I think its handy to have it for future reference. However all my editted vids are created with the date & time I printed to tape. Is there a way round this?
