    After transferring the video file from my sony avchd camcorder to FCP, I don’t know if the time and date code gets transferred with the file. And, if I delete the file from the camcorder, the time & date infromation will be lost. Am I supposed to manually put that infromation in at log and transfer? Thank you in advance.

    FCP doesn’t read that metadata, so you’ve guessed right, need to do this during Log and Transfer manually, or after the fact in a description column in the Browser one clip at a time…
