Time code reset problem
I am trying to synch time code on 2 dvx100b’s using firewire.
I match all the camera settings, turn them both off and attach them with a firewire cable and then press the timecode reset button on the ‘slave’ but the timecode does not reset.
In fact pressing the timecode reset button does nothing on either machine. This leads me to believe there is a setting somewhere preventing it from working… The only place I can get the reset button to do anything is in recording settings doing a manual preset.
Does anybody have any guesses as to what might be preventing it from working in the other scenarios?

I have been limping along doing manual presets rather than freerun… and iit works but man can I see why the freerun is recommended… nobody responded to this one above… which is unusual… perhaps it got missed? Does anyone have any ideas on this?
