I have completed a 720p 59.94 sequence my client wants in SD. When I drop the exported movie into the SD timeline it appears to run only 1 minute instead of 2 minutes, as the current time base is 29.97. It plays fine, but I know the next guy is gonna be scratching his head – it’s going out of house to DigiBeta.

I have tried changing the timebase in Compressor but it didn’t work.

I am not even sure if I am explaining this right.

All files and sequences are uncompressed 8 bit.

Is the video running fast? Also make sure the canvas in the 59.94 sequence has timecode set to 60 at 30.

    All the best,

    Tom

Tom – the video plays fine. I am just concerned when the xml’s get to the dub house they will get confused or there will be a problem.

I think I have a fix. I have created a 720/29.97 sequence setting and am exporting my sequences that way.
