I have the 2nd version of Tiffen’s DFX 2, but there seems to be no indication on how to add this to Vegas Pro 9. There are 100’s of post filters that I would like to use but so far have not figured out how to make it a part of Sony’s FX package. Is that possible?

I have the 2nd version of Tiffen’s DFX 2, but there seems to be no indication on how to add this to Vegas Pro 9.

That’s because it doesn’t support Sony Vegas. Here is the list of compatible hosts from Tiffen’s web site:

    Film/Video Post-Production Plug-In Editions:
Adobe After Effects 7.0 and above or After Effects-compatible plug-in applications (Win)
Adobe After Effects 7.0 and above or After Effects-compatible plug-in applications (PowerPC Mac)
Adobe After Effects CS3 and above or Universal After Effects-compatible plug-in applications (Intel Mac)
Adobe Premiere Pro 2 and above
Autodesk Combustion 4 (Limited functionality. See knowledgebase.)
Avid Symphony, Media Composer, Adrenaline, Nitris, MCXpress 1.5 (Win)
Avid Xpress 2.0, DV, Pro (Win)
Avid Media Composer Systems (Mac OS X 10.4.6 and above)
Avid Xpress Pro Systems (Mac OS X 10.4.6 and above)
    Avid DS (32 bit systems)
Apple Final Cut Pro 6 and above
Apple Final Cut Express 4 and above

I don’t see that Sony Vegas can be used as a host? Not in their list:-

I see this is an old thread. Too bad Vegas hasn’t been added. It looks like a useful plugin.

They also have a stand alone version that doesn’t require a host at all.

Thanks, that’s good to know, however, I prefer to use plugins if I can, to avoid another render.
