  Tiff files distorted when put on timeline?

  I’m working with a number of pictures in a final cut project both jpgs and TIFF files. They seem to import fine and look ok in the viewer but once I drop the TIFF files onto my timeline they look fuzzy and distorted. I’m using the Uncompressed 8-Bit preset for my sequence settings. The Jpgs look fine on the timeline it’s only the TIFFs that are presenting a problem.
