  As of the 1st January 2015, Avid is saying goodbye, adios, au revoir, auf Wiedersehen…. to our current upgrade plan for key software including Media Composer, Symphony and NewsCutter.

  1. Upgrades will now be replaced with annual Avid Support / Upgrade contracts, costing $299 USD per year

  2. Customers should consider taking out an Avid Support/Upgrade plan for your existing licenses by January 1st, 2015, or… in order to get access to new releases you’ll have to buy new, full licenses for a whopping $1299 USD each. New Licenses now include the MC application and a year of support/upgrades.
