This could be an easy one. I read the freaking manuals, and they are not clear. So who knows.

Long story short, my timeline shows that all my media is off line, yet it plays fine, even when not under a rendered section. Double clicking brings the very long clips into the player, and they play fine. The files in capture scratch are there too.
I think FCP just freaked out in generating the thumbnails. How it could have happened does not concern me as much as fixing it.
How can you reset the thumbnails in this timeline? If I trash the folder for thumbnails cache, or reset the location for the thumbnail cache, am I going to make matters worse? I’ve got a huge project that I can’t play with in order to figure this out.
    Thanks in advance.

How is that done exactly? throw away the contents of the folder? While the project is closed?

    Thanks,
